Monument to the Battle of Stoczek

Monument to the Battle of Stoczek on February 14, 1831 - the first victorious battle of the November Uprising. It was played between an independent corps under the command of Józef Dwernicki and part of the Russian mounted rifle division of Fyodor Geismar; commemorated in the poems "When the nation goes to war" by Gustaw Ehrenberg and "Grzmią pod Stoczek gunny" by Wincenty Pol, and on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw with the inscription on one of the boards: "STOCZEK 14 February 1831". The Battle of Stoczek is listed among the 15 most important events in the history of the Lublin region, such as the Union of Lublin.
