BENCHES – A monument commemorating the founder of Polish beekeeping, Kazimierz Lewicki (1847–1902), considered the founder of Polish beekeeping. From the age of 12 he worked in an apiary, and from the age of 20 he ran a farm in Ławki (Łuków commune) on his own, where he set up an exemplary apiary with frame hives of his own design. Author of the book "Beekeeping", creator of the beekeeping museum in the manor house in Koszyki. Publisher of the "Pszczoła" magazine.
