Henryk Sienkiewicz Museum

Kultura
Henryk Sienkiewicz Museum in Wola Okrzejska (first half of the 19th century) - the place where Henryk Sienkiewicz was born and spent the first years of his life. From the former architectural complex of the Cieciszowski family after World War II and subsequent devastation, the manor annex, renovated in 1965–1966, has survived to this day. In 1966, on the 120th anniversary of Henryk Sienkiewicz's birth, a writer's museum was established there. His collection includes a rich collection of family photographs, personal memorabilia of the writer, as well as a unique book collection containing first editions of Henryk Sienkiewicz's works. The intimate museum is surrounded by a 19th-century park with numerous life-size wooden sculptures depicting the characters of Sienkiewicz's novels (Zagłoba, Staś i Nel, Janko Muzykant and others), created by local artists. There is a bicycle rental service located next to the ZS museum in Wola Okrzejska, tel. 25 797 60 39, after hours. 16 and on weekends, tel. 509 417 033.
