Helena Mniszkówna (1878–1943) - novelist, known mainly as the author of "The Leper". She wrote romances from high society. In 1910, the writer married Antoni Rawicz-Radomyski and left for the village of Popławy-Rogale near Łuków (Trzebieszów commune), where she gave birth to twin daughters. further novels were also written there. While living in Popławy-Rogale, Helena, apart from writing books, did a lot of social work: she was, among others, she was the president of the Landowners' Circle, she founded orphanages for girls, and she was a member of the Military Training Center.
